Drew Schueler To Know I Hurt You Review

drew-schueler-cdDrew Schueler is a new pop artist creating unique, yet familiar songs full of lively vocals textured by electro-pop synth beats with accents of electric guitars. Schueler came into his own while fronting and producing alternative pop bands in Cincinnati and Nashville. He wrote his entire debut EP (New Perspective), played all the instruments, and produced and mixed the whole project himself. “I have always been fascinated by all aspects of creating music,” Drew said. “As with any kind of art, every tiny detail matters, and I love knowing everything that goes into my music.” Along with his growing artist career, Schueler is a thriving songwriter, instrumentalist, and producer, working out of his studio in Nashville. Schueler was named a Top 10 finalist of NSAI’s Song Contest two years in a row and a finalist in ISC’s Song Competition.

About the Single

Schueler is starting 2022 with a new single, “To Know I Hurt You.” Created whileDrew-Schueler-1 spending the past year in his Nashville studio preparing a dozen releases and collabs for this year, this is just the beginning of a year of many projects. Schueler’s collab with Addy Ace and Vic Roz called “View” has over 2 million streams on Spotify alone, and his song, “Head Start,” is climbing past 1.2 million, as well. With more exciting releases coming in 2022, Drew is set up for his biggest year yet.

Our Favorite Track

To Know I Hurt You” centers around Schueler’s vocals with subtle keyboards and tasteful electro-pop harmonic and melodic sounds and figures. The lyrics pull on the emotions and are easy to relate to and find a strong connection with. Schueler’s vocals are not overly affected with reverb, delay, and there is no auto-tune. This is refreshing since the electro-pop genre has way too much of that happening.

In Conclusion

Drew-Schueler-2Schueler is a very talented pop artist with strong vocal skills to match his crafty instrument and production chops. His music is balanced, well-mixed, and mastered, and his shaping of a song’s flow is mature beyond his years. So, keep an eye on this one, and be sure to take a listen to “To Know I Hurt You.”
