Alexandr Misko is taking the guitar Beyond the Box

Alexandr Misko is a fingerstyle guitarist that has quickly grabbed the attention of ears around the world. Misko’s unique way of playing the guitar by slapping and taping the guitar body to achieve percussive sound while using alternate tuning and a capo (sometimes) to allow for him to keep multiple parts sounding, is amazing. Misko uses the traditional techniques of fingerstyle guitar, but also will incorporates the use the tuning machines to get bending effects. He also adds in tapping with the right hand along with hammer ons and pull-offs with the left. If this all sounds like a lot is going on, that is because there is! Misko’s videos of his remarkable solo guitar playing has over 5 million views on YouTube and on Facebook, Misko has achieved more than 10 million views of his guitar performance of the Michael Jackson hit song “Billie Jean.” Misko believes his success is derived from his sheer desire to deliver great music and videos that people will like and share.  He delves into every genre of music to find new sounds and rhythms that inspire his original compositions. About the Album

Misko has just released his full-length debut album, Beyond the Box. Again, Misko has achieved great success on social platforms and his video of George Michael hit song “Careless Whisper” is already exceeding 400k views. This song and many other covers are included on the album along with Misko’s originals for a total of fourteen tracks. Each track finds Misko using interesting and original techniques to create varied sounds from the guitar that will both entertain and surprise the listener in its originality and sheer musicality.

Our Favorite Track

Our favorite track is “Careless Whisper.” The relaxed rhythmic style and sheer amount of sound produced by Misko is astounding. His use of the tuning machines in a musical way, is creative and engaging. The melodies clarity is impeccable, while the supporting figures give depth and motion and his percussive attacks on the strings and guitar body drive the music forward with a clear rhythmic structure.
